OBD Connection Cable for Volvo VIDA/VOCOM 2 Diagnostic Interface
This is a dedicated interface cable designed to connect a computer running Volvo's official VIDA (Vehicle Information and Diagnostics for Aftersales) software to a vehicle's diagnostic port via a VOCOM 2 interface unit. The cable features a standard OBD2 connector on one end to plug into the vehicle's 16-pin DLC, and a specific USB or serial connector on the other end to connect to the VOCOM 2 communication box. It serves as the essential physical link between the diagnostic software/hardware and the vehicle's communication networks.
Function
The primary function of this cable is to enable full-featured, manufacturer-level diagnostics, programming, and configuration on Volvo vehicles. When used with the VOCOM 2 interface and VIDA software, it allows technicians to read and clear fault codes from all systems, perform ECU software updates and module programming, run advanced adaptations and calibrations, access vehicle configuration and part numbers, and execute guided troubleshooting and repair procedures as specified by Volvo.
Support Car Models
This cable, in conjunction with the VOCOM 2 interface and VIDA software, is compatible with virtually all Volvo passenger cars and light commercial vehicles from the late 1990s/early 2000s onward. This includes models such as the S40, V40, S60, V60, S80, V70, XC60, XC70, XC90, as well as newer models based on the SPA and CMA platforms. It is the standard diagnostic solution for Volvo dealerships and independent repair shops.
