How to import FSC certificates for CIC NBT EVO retrofit pack?

Import FSC certificates for CIC NBT EVO retrofit pack and activate BMW features

Requirements

• BMW Esys and Esysplus or BIMMER UTILITY software for coding
• Enet cable or Enet WiFi adapter connect to BMW car
• Windows laptop

Step by step how to import FSC certificates

1. Changing the VIN on EVO can be done by flashing the head unit with FA file VIN to match vehicle VIN. Alternatively, contact Certificate Services for a special BIN file to change VIN without need for flashing head unit.
2. Start E-Sys, establish connection, open “FSC-Extended” page in “Expert Mode” tab, enter “0x63” in “Diagnostic Address(hex):” and press “Identify” button. After few seconds “HU_NBT2” should appear in “Base Variant:” field.
   
3. Select “StoreFSC” and press “>>” button. Select “CheckFSC” and press “>>” button.
   
4. Press “…” button and select “FSC_XXXXXXX_00A00001.fsc” file from unpacked archive. “Application number (hex/dec)” and “Upgrade index (hex/dec)” fields will be adjusted automatically according to opened file.
   
5. Press “Start” button and check for two “ok” results.

7. Remove “StoreFSC” and “CheckFSC” from right window via select each line and press “<<” button.
8. Now select “GetStatus” at left window, press “>>” and “Start” button. In Log window scroll up and check “FSCStatus” for every code except 0x170 to be “accepted”.
