There are plenty of benefits to utilizing the SmartBenz application for the Mercedez-Benz active the airmatic suspension, so what’s different about this system? The Airmatic is a cohesive suspension system that provides a level of responsiveness hitherto not seen in the Benz world. With some pretty important distinctions from the typical steel-spring suspension setup, it also works as a team with the adaptive damping system (ADS) and Dynamic Select drive modes. Some other honorable mentions whilst we are looking at the benefits: this suspension system is ‘click-and-play’, you can lowering or higher the air suspension automatically or manual way. can be easily taken back to factory settings, and is a pretty economical option. On top of all that, it is one of the few options which will definitely not void your warranty.
The range of cars it fits is wide, from the C, S, and E class right through to GLE, CLS, and GL-class. This is a real step up for Mercedes-Benz owners, allowing a great variety of cars to access this new technology. It is important to check if your model has the Airmatic Air suspension upgrade before you invest, however. But this is a simple fix: just take a look for a button with a car icon and an upwards arrow. If you do have the required upgrades, then when you click this button, a message will appear on your car’s display letting you know the details.
So the big question is why choose module lowering over a more traditional mechanical approach? A great place to start is cost. The SmartBenz OBD2 way approach to lowering the suspension of your Mercedes-Benz cuts out the need for expensive mechanical parts and expensive labor costs. Instead of having to book your Mercedes-Benz into an official mechanics and wait it out, you are able to do the entire setup from your drive at home. Not only do you cut out the costs, but you make good use of the carefully designed Airmatic suspension system already available from your car. This is an important point, as although mechanical lowering has long been the most common approach to lowering a suspension, Mercedes has caught up with its buyers, and provided a fully integrated in-car lowering system that, importantly, won’t void your warranty.
The module lowering option is a great way to go for those who want the peace of mind that an ‘official’ part offers. The SmartBenz lowering system is designed for those who want a system that communicates happily with the rest of the well-designed Airmatic suspension system: making good use of the self-leveling features and the ADS. Importantly, because the application communicates with the car via OBD2 with Mercedes VCI like C4, C5, C6, or Ecom, it is possible to raise the vehicle at the push of a button. This means that you can easily enjoy greater ground clearance on rough roads. Overall the SmartBenz lowering approach to suspension systems is a quicker, simpler, user-friendly, and more cost-effective solution. It offers a more flexible set of options than mechanical lowering, and is going to be a better option for the health of your car too!

Yes, SmartBenz can lower and raise the suspension. Min -40mm, Max +40mm. In custom mode you can choose any height you want front and rear separately, 1 step=1mm
For example, +33mm in front and +30mm in the rear.
Send us the VIN number for checking compatibility.
My 2014 e550 4matic, i have a "sport" and "comfort" switch - if i program the module -25mm and hit the comfort switch will the height adjust to factory?
SmartBenz lowers a suspension in “sport” and “comfort” modes.
In comfort, the mode will be -25mm from the comfort factory.
In sport, the mode will be -40mm (-25-15, sport mode lowers a suspension on 15mm) from the comfort factory.
- SmartBenz will work with Mercedes Hardware toolkit SD connect C4, C5, C6, Ecom. or Vediamo compatible hardware like VAS5054A or Openport2.0 interface.
- Payment 🙂
- We will assist the job done remotely upon #1 #2 accomplished.
Yes, you can. Automatically way or Manually way.
Max lowering level is +40mm from factory settings.
1 step = 1mm
If you use option “low” that means -32 mm you needn’t to to it, if you want to drive -70 of course you have to make alignment
Honestly, we have to say for us, no. Our cars are made so comfortable with the suspension tuning, a moderate drop shouldn’t make a big difference in comfort.
We have 1 car and multiple cars options.
It all depends on your demanding.
Unfortunately it's not compatible with the c43, there's no Airmatic Suspension in front
Only if it has the airmatic suspension
Yes, it will
Please send the VIN number for verification.
In manual mode, you can select any height in front and rear separately. 1 step = 1mm, min -70mm, max +40mm from the factory height.
For example, you can select -29mm front and -27mm rear.
Sure, it works with the AMG GLE63s.
Yes, it will work but you can’t get it lower than -70mm because it’s not safe for suspension.
